I have a disability and love that I can operate my computer from the other side of the bed! Great Feedback. All it needs is a preview screen locally within the app so you can see where you are? Also helpful, rather than pinch to zoom would be a zoom in/out control. Add that for a 5th star
Love being able to control the computer from the couch. Computer is connected to TV via AppleTV, so Mobile Mouse allows me to have a remote control for the computer. Love it!
Like many other reviewers, I use Mobile Mouse primarily to control my computer while it’s connected to the TV. It’s unbelievably handy, and I’ve been loving it for years!
You don’t use it all the time, but it’s great to have it installed and always have that option. A lot of the time we will put a movie on and air play it to another room and I can then use my phone as a remote to control it. Every mac should have it installed just to run in the background in case you need it.
I just now downloaded the newest version, so I may be speaking prematurely. I have used an older free version for a while now, mostly as a remote for Netflix. It works great, but everytime you open it, you have to bypass the ad to upgrade to the paid version.
The app no longer will open on 10.6, and I recommend making a backup copy of it befor updating in case you need to roll it back ( like I did ). the web site download is the same as of Y150525 (5/01/15). V3.2.4 Good, V3.3.0 no go, V3.3.1 no go. 3.3.2 Is listed on the product website as being compatible with 10.6 however when downloaded it requires 10.7. there is also the previous version which is for 10.6 and lower in case you absolutely have to have it working. my concern is the app will be updated on the IDevices and will no longer be compatible with the older version of the server, nor will you be able to use the "new features". there is also the issue of the App Store insisting that there is an update, updating the app and then not having it work.
I have had the app installed for a few years now and have not had a problem. It’s so cool to use my iphone as a mouse!
Problomatc when used with Office for Mac or other non Apple applications.
Converting an iphone into a wireless trackpad and/or keyboard for seamless transition and consistency among all corresponding devices in unison.
I bought other apps such as Remote Mouse and it never really worked for me. This works great
I’ve had this app since the first year it cam out. And it just gets better and better everytime there is an update. Works well with me. I use it as an a multi-media controller. I actually prefer it more than I do my mouse and trackpad. But then it means I have to not use my phone for other stuff LoL.. Anyway, if your contemplating on getting this app. DON’T! It is truly a great app to have.
Been using this app since the first version was released a few years back—I must say it has gotten much better. It consistently works and is accurate with functionality of the interface on OS X. The iPad version gives you a little more space to move around and is comfortable as well. Keep up the good work!
It’s a good app but everytime I restart my computer it seems I’m being asked to rate the app or I have to close the inital startup box. So, now I’ve rated it - it’s good. If the the app wasn’t such a pest everytime I start my computer it would be great. Enjoy RPA
I bought this app serval years ago and LOVED it! But for the last 8 months, its been in the crapper. Ive updated it on my phone (and my wifes phone) and on the computer (the server) about a zillion times. Up until last week, I could it to work on my phone by restarting the app everytime I needed it. If my phone went to sleep or I checked email or something, Mobile Mouse on my phone would disconnect and refuse to work until restarted. (I couldnt get my wifes phone to connect no matter what---and yes, I put the IP, Port, and password directly into her phone. I am horribly disappointed. Seems like new version of Server come out everyother day… each time I get all excited, thinking this app will now be restored to its former awesomeness, but that never happens. I guess its time to find an alternative. What a shame, this app WAS awesome!
really does work nice. using the ‘mouse in the air’ thing takes a little practice, but it is such a well done app. Get it and enjoy!
Can’t think of any problems.
This is a really convenient app - I use it for a range of tasks from opening iTunes when I am at an AppleTV and as a powerful remote when presenting to a client. Documentation is not perfect but tech support was very responsive to my email queries.
While I really like my Apple Magic Mouse, it has lost much of its “magic" over the years. It’s not uncommon for the Bluetooth connection to just poop out, even though the battery’s are fresh. Born out of necessity, I’ve learned to navigate without a mouse, but oftentimes find it more than a little annoying. Moble Mouse Server has really come up with a novel solution to this problem. Using the client apps installed from Apples iOS App Store, I’m easily able to use my iPhone 6 PLUS or iPad Air 2 as a mouse, trackpad, remote control and even a canvas (using my Pogo Connect 2 Stylus). It’s well worth the cost. Moreover, the devlopers, RPA Technologies, Inc. continue to add new features with requiring users to purchase upgraded versions of their App (a practice employed by some developers which I find extrodenarily annoying). All-in-all, this is well worth the humble price of the OS X App and iOS Apps (including optional in-app purchases). Really great solution to an annoying problem. This is an awesome app, honestly, couldnt be happier with it. Ive had this app since it first came out and its worked flawless over time. It connects super quick, really percise, has great functions built in. function keys and everything! I only with it had an easier way to adjust the volume inside an app instead of the whole mac volume… but thats me being picky (and using VLC player a lot)
