Mobile Mouse Server App Reviews
i had high hopes for this application when someone at the Apple Store recommended it. i purchased it and had my son set it up on my iPad and Mac Mini. However, it often breaks communication even though I am at most 15 feet away. I gave up using it and bought a Logitec K400 keyboard instead which works better and never breaks off.

All good on Yosemite
Great app! Love it!
Talk about a scam. Downloaded (Mac Yosemite 10.10.6, IPhone SE) with high hopes. Initial reaction: hey, pretty cool. I think I will use this doodad for my dissertation defense. Purchase the presentation upgrade. Hour later, the app and server stop working. So I jump through all the hoops to troubleshoot. Every last one. No dice. Fresh install the app and server. Nada. Check all the firewalls, privacy settings, the kitchen sink. “Connection unavailable." “Connection unavailable.” “Connection unavailable.” “Connection unavailable.” Over and over again. At my wit’s end I purchase the bluetooth upgrade. Finally a connection. You won’t guess how. Suddenly, right after the purchase, the wifi connection works. The bluetooth? “Connection unavailable.” I had to make an in-app purchase to get the basic platform to work. Remember how I bought the presentation upgrade? The charge is right there on my card. I open my presentation and go to set the timer. The timer isn’t there. Instead there is a little star. “Click here to get the presentation upgrade.” This whole thing is like a used car lot run by a casino.
I am so glad I discovered this app. It is just as great as the reviews describe it to be. I have the free version and it does everything I need it to do. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is the fact that you cannot control volume through the app - but, you can use the mouse to click and drag the volume adjuster (when you are watching Netflix, for example, you can mouse-over the speaker icon and drag and drop it to the level your prefer). But, you cannot use the volume control buttons on the side of your phone for easier volume adjustment. Bottom line is, the app is wonderful. You should most definitiely give it a try!
Would give it five stars if it didn’t struggle to connect so often. Would not be dependable if I needed it in an important time crunch often. Once it connects it works great.
Total no brainer. Stream a ton of media from a desktop upstairs to Apple TV in living room downstairs using Beamer, and this makes it possible to control the desktop without having to run upstairs. Works flawlessly as long as iDevice and Mac are completely up to date. If you have any connection issues, updates are usually the case.
Everything is great about this app except for when i am somewhere there isnt wifi wich doesnt allow it to work if it had bluetooth capability it would be flawless and really useful! great app!
tanks
fantastic
Does everything you need
I don’t use this app a whole lot, but it’s great to have when I need it. It works without worry and has more functionality than I even require.
I have my mac mini hooked up to a large hdtv in my bedroom. This app is great for the times that I just want to do some surfing or watch a movie without having to haul out my wireless keyboard and mouse. I actually like the touchpad on this app better than the bluetooth touchpad.
I paid for this app and now they are attempting to force me to get a newer version by nerfing the version i paid for with a upgrade screen. No cool at all !!
Particularly if (as I do) you use macs as drivers of flat screen tvs as entertainment hubs, this app is crucial (its great, regardless). It becomes your universal remote. It works very well, and is indispensible in my systems.
It works, but I can’t figure out what random swipe on the virtual track pad causes my MBP to zoom the screen. Once it zooms, I can’t get it back to normal and have to reboot. Not happy.
Unfortunately the app is plagued by connection issues. Despite having set the ip address manually, it takes about 5-10 tries before it connects. The other times it constantly says “unable to connect” or “connection refused."
The app became extremely useful because the trackpad on my macbook is a bit spaztic. I have an older computer, I want to say either 2007 or 2008, so the computer system is 10.6.8. After I updated the mobile mouse app, it doesnt lauch the app anymore on my computer. In the information, it still says that it is compatible with 10.6+ systems, but in descriptions say 10.7+. I dont care that there is a typo, but please make the newest version compatible with 10.6 os computers.
